Zoom Commander can filter screen entries using the TAG system and 'Link' the filtered screens to apply playback control & scheduling to multiple screens with a single command.

 Linking Screens
To link screen entries, click the 'Link' button next to the 'TAG Filtering' box. Once linked, the screen list box's background color changes to visually indicate the currently active link state.

If some of the linked screens are not connected when applying actions, a dialog prompting you to connect the screens will appear. If some of the linked screens are not responsive or could not carry out the desired action, a report detailing the problematic screen entries appears.

The following features are affected by screen linking:
  1. Activate playlist
Activates the playlist across all linked screens.

    Warning!
The folder structure containing the media files in the playlist must be identical across all linked screens, otherwise playback will fail.

  2. Volume level adjustments
Change the audio volume level across all linked screens.

  3. Playback controls
Play, Pause, Seeking and other playlist controls are applied across all linked screens.
To synchronize content playback across multiple screens, use the 'Activate playlist' feature while the screens are linked.

  4. Playlist editor
The playlist editor's playlist is not shared with linked screens.
Only the current playlist is modified when the 'Activate playlist' feature is used.

  5. Enable scheduler
Enables or Disables the schedule across all linked screens.
Playback is unaffected when the schedule is disabled, the current playlist will continue to play.

  6. Schedule editing
Applies the updated schedule across all linked screens.

    Warning!
The folder structure containing the media files in the playlist must be identical across all linked screens, otherwise playback will fail.

 Breaking the Link
Beyond clicking the 'Link' button to break the active screen linking, the link breaks automatically by any action that changes the screen list (editing a screen, modifying the TAG filtering, etc).
