Happy New Year!

And to welcome the new year, I welcome you to Zoom Player v3.30 Final.
Version 3.30 represents a big step forward in user friendliness and multilingual support. Zoom Player is now the ideal player for both the novice and the advanced user that requires the ultimate control. The new Basic options dialog should make initial system configuration much easier, the new System Overview allows you to see which formats may not play due to missing components and the new Context Menus are smaller, more organized and have a better logic to them.

Zoom Player is actively translated to French, German and Czech, with work started on Spanish and Italian. If you would like to help in the translation process, please join our Translation Forum and let us know.

All in all, I'm very pleased with how this version came along and I think it hit its major goals with flying colors.

Ok, there was a major issue with the registration key check in v3.30 beta 3, so if you are a registered user and your key no longer works with Beta 3, please upgrade to v3.30 Release Candidate 1. There were also a few other minor fixes, but nothing really major besides this bug.

I have reordered and updated the Media Setup Guide with information about how to Setup DirectShow to play QuickTime and AAC content.

Work is still progressing on Zoom Player v3.30, I've got the translation code about 40% written and I'm hoping to release a second beta over the next two weeks.

In the meanwhile, I have slightly updated the Media Setup Guide with information about the new FFDShow and Shoutcast Audio.

I hasn't been two weeks and already Zoom Player v3.30 beta 1 is ready for your consumption.

This new beta represents a new step in Zoom Player. A step toward Simplification. With this new beta, Zoom Player's massive options dialog has been split into a Basic/Advanced dialogs, making it much more accessible toward new users. I have also restructured the Right-Click context menu to make it simpler, a bit more intuative and it now contains the keyboard hotkeys for each function.
