Certain video cards have the ability to add practically every video mode you could think of. The only reason certain
modes are not included in the default driver setting is that they have either not thought about them or found them
unnecessary.
I have always wondered why Display Cards don't have TV-Standard display modes, sure some cards from ATI did have these
modes, but usually not all of them.
To that end I've investigated how these modes are actually generated, and from what I've seen, it was quite simple,
so I played around a bit with my NVIDIA card and managed to create entries for several new modes. By looking
at similar information from other card vendors I'm assuming that most other cards can also have these modes added in
exactly the same fashion, so this feature lists all found card-entries.
These functions will not be registered until you either restart windows or log out (and back in).
By pressing this button DC Genie will attempt to add the 720x576 PAL mode for monitor viewing. At this mode you
can watch PAL based movies with minimum scaling artifacts. Entries are added both to 16bit and 32bit modes.
By pressing this button DC Genie will attempt to add the 720x480 NTSC mode for monitor viewing. At this mode you
can watch NTSC based movies with minimum scaling artifacts. Entries are added both to 16bit and 32bit modes.
