How can I copy a DVD to my hard disk?

You can copy VOBs to the hard disk by having the disc opened by a DVD Player. However, this wouldn't really help you, since the content is CSS encoded and the resulting file will basically look like junk.

To make a backup of your DVD, you can use programs such as DVD Decrypter.
