XVID is an implementation of the MPEG-4 Advanced Simple Profile specification. Probably one of the better implementations
of this video compression format.
XVID files can be decoded using FFDShow, but also through the semi-official XVID Decoder (which
can also be configured to decode DIVX and MPEG-4 ISO content).
