DVD Express was not a charmer at version 4.0, and frankly, nothing much changed.

The user interface is now 144 colors instead of 4, which looks a bit better. The interface options are non-existent. Support for hardware acceleration? I suspect so, but you wouldn't know it.

The engine is slow, the decoding buggy (i had flashing cyan blocks at the bottom of my screen). It kept on crashing on me until i removed all other DVD players from my system, it corrupted the MCI settings so my Hardware decoder won't work.

In conclusion: DO NOT TRY INSTALLING THIS PIECE OF SOFTWARE (unless you are forced to, in which case i suggest backing up your entire windows directory).
